The Boont Berry Store started out in 1982 as a simple fruit stand selling berries grown on Boont Berry Farm. Over time it expanded into a larger grocery store and commercial kitchen.
It was the need to use up excess produce that lead Burt Cohen, owner of both the store and farm, to realized he had a passion and skill for cooking delicious foods.
As the store grew, it took up more and more of Burt’s time and eventually the farm aspect of the store was discontinued. Burt's passion for food however continued to grow. He quickly developed a reputation for his skill with food, and this is what has kept customers coming back over the years.
Today Boont Berry is an essential part of the Anderson Valley community. It is a place where locals gather to catch up on town news, buy groceries, and pick up lunch or a take home dinner.
